MV Ruawaka is a fully surveyed 10m catamaran. With a beam of 4.5 metres, she offers a spacious cockpit for fishing & diving and operates on Northland's east coast out of Oakura Bay in Whangaruru Harbour. Her usual cruising grounds run from Cape Brett to Tutakaka and Poor Knights Islands, but she is licensed for the entire North Cape to East Cape region and will go anywhere in Northland.
Skipper Mike Austin has lived at Oakura for 36 years and knows all the best fishing and diving spots. A delightful 8 person holiday flat and B & B type accommodation is available in Oakura for large parties or non boaters.
