Great Escape Charters' Bay of Islands fleet of affordable bareboat vessels range from the legendary 2 berth Hartley 16 to the 5 berth Raven 31. Great Escape charters' smaller vessels are easy to sail centreboard trailer yachts, well suited to the Bay's balmy weather and 15 knot breezes, and readily taken close in for a picnic at the beach.
Other boats in their fleet include the high performance Noelex 30 and a 10 meter Raven yacht, well suited for sailing up the Northland Coast. Qualified, friendly sailing instruction is available, and flotilla voyages provide a great opportunity to make friends and learn the ropes.

SAILING LESSONS
With our NZYF instructor, 2 day stay aboard.
Learn boat handling under sail or power, anchoring, sail trimming, basic navigation and man overboard drills.
Maximum of 2 persons per boat
FIVE DAY LEARN TO SAIL ADVENTURE
2 full days sailing instruction with our qualified instructor, THEN 3 days exploring the beauty of the Bay of Islands by yourself and practising your new skills.
Maximum 2 persons per boat. Includes 4 nights accommodation onboard. NZ Yachting Federation accredited course.
