Breaksea Girl is a substantial 25 metre steel ketch, centrally heated and extensively equipped to enable her to travel as far south as NZ's sub Antarctic Islands. Owners Ruth and Lance Shaw are committed conservationists offering a variety of natural history and ecotourism experiences including 3 to 10 day scheduled cruises, charters and opportunities to join research voyages.
Based in the magnificent Fiordland National Park and covering all areas south including the wild Auckland and Campbell Island reserves, activities include penguin watching, tramping, snorkelling, non extractive diving, marine mammal watching and environmental education. Inquiries from disabled or elderly people are especially welcome and special diets are not a problem. |
