Launched in 2006, Maia is a purpose built ocean going motor yacht designed for small charter parties and scientific expeditions. A powerful hull and engine provide the capability to meet schedules in virtually any weather conditions, while four cabins and three separate living areas with leather and cherrywood furniture make for exceptionally comfortable cruising.
Covered side and back decks, with a large observation/sun deck provide shelter or access to the outdoors as required, while two holds and a pair of powerful RIBs accommodate whatever equipment or activities guests may require. Fully independent, with backup systems throughout, massive anchoring gear, satellite communications and Maxsea / Furuno navigation.
An ideal ship for a Stewart Island / Fiordland cruise or for expeditionary work in the high latitudes.
