Kaikoura has become famous as one of the best places in the world for whalewatching. The continental shelf that surrounds NZ is particularly narrow in this region, creating a unique combination of deep and shallow water within easy reach of the shore.
As well as attracting whales, the coast off Kaikoura is a real fisher magnet, where the sea teems with fish and a good catch is almost guaranteed.

Fish Kaikoura - The i-Catcher - is a purpose built 8.5 meter Aluminium Pontoon vessel built by Kiwi Kraft in Invercargill.
The cabin is big enough for 3 - 4 for adults. The boat has under cover space for another 4 adults and a large deck.
