By day, the Dominion Post Ferry runs a friendly neighbourhood service, crossing Wellington Harbour up to nine times a day from centrally located Queens Wharf, via Somes Island nature reserve, to the seaside village of Eastbourne. The trip is one of New Zealand's most affordable harbour cruises and provides a spectacular view of Wellington and its legendary harbour entrance.
By night though, the covers are whipped off the juke box, the bar opens and Wellington's finest caterers prepare a mouthwatering array of gourmet delights as the Post cruises the city lights or along the moonlit Southern coast.
With plenty of room for up to 65 guests, the Post offers a uniquely Wellington experience that has made the Christmas cruise an annual event for dozens of corporate and public bodies.
