Back in 1946, the launching of Anita Bay cemented the Lidgard's reputation as one of Aucklands finest boatbuilders. At 48 feet and equipped with a pair of lazy Gardner diesels, she proved an immensely comfortable seaboat, while her flying bridge and generous interior accommodation made her well suited to extended cruising.
Anita Bay is based at Sandspit, Warkworth, which is about an hour North of Auckland. With Kawau Island providing good shelter and good fishing opportunities for those days when conditions in the Gulf are uninviting, Anita Bay promises one of the most reliable fishing services in Auckland. Owner Laurence McLeod is the president of the Marine Transport Association, and takes pride in running a professional service. He is happy to discuss any requirements you may have. |
