Tau was designed by skipper Tony Philp's father and built in Suva in 1972 before being fitted out in in Sydney. She cruised and chartered in the South Pacific and in 1999, after a complete refit, Tony and his crew sailed her around the world.
A beautiful classic luxury yacht, setting 3000 square feet of sail over her inch thick teak decks, she offers a trade wind sailing experience that could never be forgotten.
Tau is based in Suva, well placed for visiting the beautiful, rarely-visited islands of the Lau group and Vanua Levu. Warm clear waters make for idyllic cruising, the fijian people are renowned for their friendly hospitality, and Tau is the ideal vessel on which to make the most of the South Pacific.
