Pete and Takutai Beech restored Tutanekai, a 70 year old launch, some three years ago. While she will never be a luxury cruiser, Tutanekai offers a wonderfully clean and comfortable environment for enjoying the Sounds at a stress free pace.
The Beeches have lived in the Sounds for six generations and are committed to preserving it's unique environment. Pete and Takutai delight in introducing their guests to their favourite places and the special people who live there. They offer a range of cruises, from one day trips with a bit of fishing (handlines supplied) to five day adventures, visiting historic sites and maori settlements in the isolated outer sounds and d'Urville Island areas.
